An Architect’s Approach to Protecting Your Legacy
Choosing the right Medicare plan, life insurance policy, or retirement strategy is rarely a standalone decision — it’s a critical piece of a larger financial picture.
With 24 years in financial services, I bring a perspective most insurance agents simply don’t have. The first 20 years of my career were spent in two of the most rigorous, detail-driven corners of finance: the wholesale and retail mortgage industry, and the corporate foreign currency exchange market. Since 2022, I’ve applied that discipline where it matters most for families — Medicare, life insurance, and retirement planning.
What this means for you: I don’t just look at insurance policies in a vacuum. My background in complex corporate risk, macroeconomics, and real estate debt allows me to view your health and retirement assets through a highly strategic, comprehensive lens.
That’s why every plan I architect starts with the bigger picture: how your income, your healthcare costs, your long-term care exposure, and your family’s legacy fit together as one structure — not five disconnected purchases.
How I came to this work
The move wasn’t planned. A colleague on the insurance side of financial services brought me into a few early conversations, and the work surprised me with how much it had in common with what I had been doing for two decades. Same skill set — pricing risk, reading the fine print — applied at the household level rather than at the institutional one.
What kept me here was who benefits. In foreign exchange and mortgages, the other side of the transaction is a business, and a missed detail shows up as a balance sheet adjustment. In insurance and retirement planning, the other side is a family, and a missed detail shows up in someone’s quality of life for the next 20 years.
That changed the math. Since 2022, this is the work.
How I work
No two households I work with start in the same place. The conversation begins with your situation, in your own words. From there, we look at the numbers, walk through what they actually mean for your plan, and decide together what deserves attention next.
